We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
Listening to Talksport last night on way home from the match.
I was amazed to hear the pathetic crap coming from WH fans. One pratt even suggesting that referees had decided to gang up on us to prevent us from getting into the top 4 or winning the cup.
Another idiot asking why we did not get a bit of luck and the linesman not flagging offside for the disallowed goal. Sure we have had some dodgy decisions lately but then shouldn't Payet have gone off at Old Trafford and Carroll was a bit fortunate to stay on against Arsenal.
We lost last night because the best team won so stop sounding like wingeing Totts and grow up.

I don't listen to the mumbo jumbo, though not sure I get the Payet off at Old Trafford bit, as he was clearly fouled if that's what you're referring too, though overall I agree massively.

Annoying in the fact we shouldn't have even been there last night, but it does make me laugh at the amount of grown men acting like the world has ended when we lose.

So 2 people go on Talk Sport and 700000 are tarred with the same brush?

Talksport always put through the most hysterical and embarrassing fans.

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
It is a fact of life that you need a bit of luck in football, no matter how good you are.

We have had a few things go our way this season but lately luck has run against us and without any doubt has played a significant role in our dismal recent run.

The Man Utd equaliser at OT should have been disallowed. Kouyate should not have been sent off against Palace. Lanzini's goal against Arsenal should have stood. And Payet should have had a penalty last night.

These are massive decisions that have left us hanging by a thread with our top four hopes and out of the Cup.

But equally we haven't helped ourselves. We were really poor last night and deserved to lose. We had by far the better team on the pitch but they failed to play and gave the ball away for 90 mins. They made a very poor Man Utd team look good.

With big fixtures to come against Leicester and Man Utd and the likes of Southampton and Liverpool breathing down our necks we could very easily finish 8th and the fantastic season we have all been enjoying will be up in smoke.

That's why Bilic has to rally the players and win every one of the remaining games. Forget luck - this is all about character.

I agree with the OP 100%. It's pathetic.

This place is bad enough, but Twitter after anything other than a win (and sometimes even then) is a complete mong-fest. Embarrassing to say the least.

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
yeah listened to it too on way home
cliché dave lol

one guy was good basically man up and get on with it regarding the bad decisions

IMO we had too many off their game last night when we needed them most. It's not always about tactics sometimes you have to accept our lads just didn't play well which made an average Utd team look far better than they actually are tbh

its been a good season and I hope we finish strongly as the fans, players, management deserve it

Agreed Ted… even if it goes belly up the last few games it’s been a superb season and absolute chalk and cheese compared to the previous dross… long may it continue

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
The conspiracy thing is a bit embarrassing granted and we were just the poorer team lastnight, but it's not bullshit that a shit load of decisions have gone against us lately, people are naturally fucked off about it and the frustration has got to pour out somewhere.

Just a greater shame that we were aren't good as Spurs though.

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
You'll probably find that as a group of people, there isn't any difference between our fans and their fans.

And you'd be naive to think that the WHU fans moaning on Talksport are a small minority. We have lots who will be just like Spurs fans ... some will accept defeat graciously ( just as some Spurs fans will ) and some will whinge and moan like old women ( just as some Spurs fans will )

At the end of the day they're all human beings, just like us and if you put all theirs in a room with all ours you wouldn't be able to sort one lot from the other.

But it will even itself out over time and it's bordering on arrogance to think there's some sort of conspiracy.

We've had plenty of decisions go our way but tend only to remember the ones that go against.

I'm actually a little bit disappointed with Bilic lately for rising to it and would prefer if he just made no comment.

The "it'll even itself out over time" cliché is a myth isn't it? We've had more decisions go against us than for us, especially recently and at vital moments, last night wasn't one of this occasions granted.

cholo 3:53 Thu Apr 14
Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
Is not a conspiracy but it is terrible refereeing, some sort of video help for refs will come in sooner or later imo.
